Louie Louie by The Kingsmen - the story behind the guitarist choice.

Mick Jagger's brother Chris was my first choice as guitarist when I was putting the band together for the record deal with Sony record producer Charlie Skarbek for the Rugby World Cup Series in Australia.

I first met Chris at a concert when we both appeared on the same stage along side other rock'n'roll legends. I wanted Chris to join the band, but my only concern was where he lived (that being in Somerset). Anyway, I offered Chris the gig, he was very keen to join the band for the record deal. However, Ronnie Wood's son was my second choice and after asking him as well he also wanted to be involved in this production deal. Jessie and I met up at my home in Sussex and I told him in depth what the deal was, we had to record a bunch of song for potential worldwide release. He also knew this particular gig would take a good 18 months plus to complete the tracks and the follow up's i.e. touring in Australia at various stadiums & England and the usual stuff that goes with a big signing and he was happy with all of it, especially after the meetings we had with Charlie Skarbek, which cemented his place in the band Wildkatz (band no. 5).
